Historic Ketchikan continues to work with the Gateway Borough government in order to find a new use for the 1927 school which closed last year. The Ketchikan Center for the Arts and Ketchikan Senior Services are currently surveying the property to determine whether to develop a multigenerational community center that would meet the needs of both organizations and the community. The Borough and City governments have agreed to maintain the property until next January.
